This is my first attempt at that lifestyle blog thing, but I’m sure you won’t hold a grudge, because CHRISTMAS and all that.
So yes, food. Food is in my top 5 favourite things, and I LOVE cooking. It’s insane. And I love chocolate. And I wanted to share. (Thanks random magazines at the supermarket for the idea).
Ladies and Gents, let me introduce you to the wonderful “Easy Chocolate Truffles”. No less.
If you want to impress this Christmas, take notes :
You’ll need :
-100g dark chocolate
-50g unsalted butter
– 200g icing sugar (I made these with regular sugar, and I suggest you cut to 150g. It’s *very* sugary)
– 1tsp Vanilla extract
-1tbsp Golden Syrup
– Chocolate sugar strands (or cocoa powder, or coconut if you fancy)
How you do it :
Put the chocolate and the butter in a bowl and melt in the microwave for 1/2 mn OR over a pan of simmering water (I prefer this way). Stir in the syrup and the vanilla extract, then gradually beat in the icing sugar until a stiff paste is formed. If the paste isn’t hard enough, put it in the fridge for 20mn. Then form into balls and roll in the chocolate strands. Et voilà!
You can store it in the fridge for two weeks. Or you can eat it straight away. Your choice!
Be excellent to each other,
Veee, future Blog guru.
